Animal Future(s): Pets or Predators?
Session two of Investigation Now Fall 2016 once again tested the limits of our imaginations. We discussed the evolution of our beloved pets, wild animals, and slippery sea creatures. Investigators challenged themselves to envision what our fellow Earthlings will look and feel like in the centuries to come, and what "powers" they will acquire in order adapt to our ever-morphing planet.
Together we explored the works of Nicholas Di Genova and Jim McKenzie then questioned our understandings of the wild world around us. Investigators answered with provocative, deeply relevant, and often hilarious insights into their future(s).
After a lot of laughs and pizza, Investigators worked hard to bring their predictions to life. From bridezillas, to robot monkeys, to flying squirrels, and kitty squids they crafted a future where animals still roam, but are unrecognizable as we know them today.
Thank you to all the amazing kids and their equally amazing parents for letting the I.N. team be a part of their week. We appreciate you and can't wait to see you next week!
