Last night/Opening

This week we finished up the lesson from last week with screen printing and borrowing with intent. Last week, we created screen prints with imagery and symbols important to us. This week, we pinned up our extra prints and began borrowing. We found pieces from other artist's work that we liked and asked if we could use it - if they said yes, we could use that part in our own final collage piece, but if they said no, we had to be respectful and find something else to use. We learned that it's only okay to use something in our art that belongs to someone else WITH PERMISSION. The result was collaborative, respectful works of art.

Then, our adults came to see our art! We've learned and created so much!
