The Future(s) of Humans

Now's the time when we gear up to dress up for Halloween. In a couple of days, streets in Richmond will be crowded with creatures from the crypt and comic characters. In the spirit of this spooky tradition, this week our investigators explored what gear and dress will decorate future humans.

We discussed how humankind will evolve and adapt on a planet Earth where pollution continues to rise, plants learn new modes of defense, and humans become superhuman. Investigators imagined a world inhabited by a hybrid race that meshes humans and fish, humans and plants, and humans and steel. At the end of Session 3, it was clear that the future(s) of humans involved a coming together of life forms where our only hope for survival is a blending of strengths on a planet truly shared by all.

A huge thanks is owed once again to the awesome student investigators and their stellar parents for letting the Investigation Now team be a part of their week. Have a fantastic Halloween and don't forget to brush your teeth, kiddos!
